Maia Claire Garrison, the Artistic Director at Reel.Dance.Music, has a deep-rooted appreciation for editing dance for film. With over 25 years of experience choreographing for the proscenium stage, she became intrigued by how film editing platforms can serve as an innovative choreographic tool. Garrison strongly believes that the most effective editors of dance material for film are the choreographers themselves.
ALPHA LEVEL Music Video
Garrison's Alpha Level music video delves into soul-searching, grappling with flaws, and finding the courage to confront them for the sake of creating meaningful partnership. The lyrics, also by Maia Claire, carry themes of growth and renewal. Work-in-Progress
This project combines a dance film with a live performance, drawing inspiration from Dr. Joe Dispenza's teachings. Remember Future examines the balance between emotions and thoughts for improved well-being, as well as the journey of breaking free from our "familiar past" to embrace the "unpredictable future" through intentional practice and conscious effort.
